Fundamentals of Computer Science for Linguistics
Learning Outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
a) to understand the basic computer science concepts and components and to comprehend the relevance and the role of information technology in today’s working environments;
b) to use the CLI to control their system and to solve simple problems using FOSS software, to correctly read software manuals, and to interact with repositories.
c) to write from scratch very simple programs and scripts on their own, and to figure out what a generic script or program does.
