Lexicography

Development and improvement of skills in the field of Lexicography that allow students to understand the issues and object of study of Lexicography, the contribution of theoretical contents of lexicology and semantic description in the construction of lexical resources, the questions of adequacy and lexicographic purposes and the challenges of contemporary lexicography and metallexicography. In particular, students must be able to

a) understand the concepts involved in the lexicographical description;
b) conceive, design, and build lexicographic entries;
c) acquire, use, and evaluate current methodologies for lexicographic editing and construction of lexical resources.
