Research Data Management and Curation

Upon successful completion of the seminar, students will be able to:

a) Identify and apply the key concepts underpinning the digital curation of research data.

b) Demonstrate knowledge of Open Science policies and recognise good practices in research data management.

c) Understand the processes involved in managing research data throughout the research lifecycle, including the development of data management plans, data licensing, protection and ownership, data sharing and deposit in repositories, and the principles of sustainability, security and interoperability.

d) Develop practical skills in the management and curation of open research data.
